Feb 04th RATHLIN (Kayf Tara / Princess Timon) wins the Follow us on Facebook Novice Chase at Fairyhouse. He was bred and raised at Crimbourne Stud for Mrs Carrie Zetter-Wells who sold him at Doncaster sales as a 2yr old. A real non event of a race as Ratlin made all and jumped well, he hardly saw another rival and had been out on his own for a long time when losing a bit of concentration in the straight. It`s arguable how much he had left but for the most part he did it well and is thought of by his trainer as a real stayer. Jan 23th PETOMIC ( Dubai Destination / Petomi ) wins the Enjoy The Punters Package Group Offer Handicap (CLASS 6)at Wolverhampton.Trained by Richard Guest and ridden by Robert L Butler at 10/1. This was his 4th win. Jan 11th RATHLIN (Kayf Tara / Princess Timon) wins the Visit Fairyhouse.ie Beginners Chase at Fairyhouse. He was bred and raised at Crimbourne Stud for Mrs Carrie Zetter-Wells who sold him at Doncaster sales as a 2yr old.A bit of a transformation here from him to get off the mark over fences with a sound display of jumping from the front. He was afforded an initially soft lead but the more he upped the tempo the less his rivals were able to live with him. He had looked slow and a bit irresolute on occasions before this but a wind operation since his last run seems to have had very much the desired effect. Jan 04th ERADICATE (Montjue / Coyote) wins the Membership of Southwell Golf Club Novice’s Chase (class 4) at Southwell. This was Eradicates second win over fences from only 4 starts at 5/4 fav .The slow tempo wouldn`t have been to the liking of dual Swinton Hurdle winner, but class prevailed as he just got the better of Kudu Country in a tight finish, with the pair a long way clear. Eradicate is ideally served by fast ground and a strong pace in his races, but he was vastly superior to these rivals over hurdles and he has begun his chasing career in promising style. “He will stride out much better under more suitable conditions” said his owner Mr Alan Spence in a post race interview and so there is a lot more to come from him in this sphere.
2011 Dec 10th 2011 MIA`S BOY (Pivotal / Bint Zamayem) wins the TOTETRIFECTA H`cap Stakes 0-100 ( Class 2 ) at Wolverhampton . Winning his 9th race for trainer Chris Dwyer. Ridden by Andrea Atzeni he showed a good turn of foot to win again this year at the age of 7.A strong race and, despite the gallop not looking overly strong, the finish was dominated by two horses held up out the back for the most part.Mia`s Boy ran well in a similarly competitive event at Lingfield last month but this was a cracking performance for he travelled noticeably well around the inside before finding plenty to nail the bang in-form Loyalty right on the line. This is the first time Mia´s Boy has won a handicap since 2008 but he´s got stacks of good runs in the bank and he´s clearly at the top of his game right now. He has now finished first or second on four of his five visits to Wolverhampton. Nov 25th 2011 ERADICATE (Montjue / Coyote) wins the Tot Visit Theconistonhotel.com Skipton, North Yorkshire Novices' Chase at Haydock. An event which totally revolved around ERADICATE, and apart from one jumping error this was all very straightforward. Winner of the last two Swinton Hurdles, he was beaten a short head in a match when making his chasing debut at Sandown earlier this month and this slowly run, three-runner event wouldn´t have shown him at his very best either. Nov 2nd 2011 COLIMA (Authorised / Coyote ) wins the PHS Waterlogics Maiden at Nottingham. She won here on her racecourse debut for her connections who bought her for £170,000 as a foal. This is Coyote`s 7th foal and her 4th winner following on from Oh Goodness Me who was 3rd in the Irish 1000 Guineas Group1 and a winner and listed place at 2. Eradicate who was a listed winner and Group 3 placed . Huff and Puff a dual winner at 3 and 4. Coyote has a yearling colt by Dalakhani who is going to the Tattersalls Dec yearling sales and a foal by SEA THE STARS also going to Tattersalls in late Nov. Oct 22nd 2011 MIA`S BOY (Pivotal / Bint Zamayem) wins the Racing and Football Outlook conditions Stakes ( Class 3) at Doncaster. Winning his 8th race for trainer Chris Dwyer. Riden by Andrea Atzeni he showed a good turn of foot to win at the age of 7. Sept 10th 2011 DANEKING ( Dylan Thomas / Sadie Thompson) wins the Seb Merchant Bank EBF Maiden Stakes at Goodwood( Class 4) .Trained by John Gosden and ridden by Nicky Mackay.DANEKING, who is in the Derby, displayed a good attitude under pressure, after leading for much of the contest, to hold off the runner-up Cherry Street. A promising seventh on his debut in the ´Frankel maiden at Newmarket (started 20/1), this is a step in the right direction and he´ll undoubtedly stay middle-distances next season.. He is the second foal of his dam Sadie Thompson (King’s Best), a winnner over 7f at two from only 2 starts. She is a half sister to a winner out of Femme Fatale (Fairy King), who won the Listed (then) Firth of Clyde Stakes and is a half-sister to the dual Listed winner Foodbroker Fancy (Halling; dam of the Gr.3 Long Island Handicap winner Dalvina and the Listed Lupe Stakes winner Soft Centre) and Crossmolina (Halling; dam of the ill-fated Listed Thoroughbred Stakes winner Neebras). The third dam Red Rita (Kefaah) was twice Gr.3-placed). Sadie Thompson has a yearling filly by Oasis Dream, catalogued as Lot 326 in Tattersalls October Yearling Sale Book One, and a colt foal by Medician she is in foal to Azamour July 29th 2011 STEVIE THUNDER ( Storming Home / Social Storm) wins the Grants Whiskey Handicap at Newmarket . A 6yr old son of Social Storm was winning his 5th race and his first for Ian Williams ridden by Ryan Clarke. A one-sided handicap, STEVIE THUNDER, who has been quite lightly raced in recent times, showing he retains all his ability in quickening clear for an easy success. He will get hit hard by the handicapper for winning a fairly uncompetitive race, so his best chance of following up is likely to come if turned out under a penalty before the end of next week.He does not have any entry’s at present but if entered tomorrow can run under a penalty before being reassessed next Tuesday . July 15th 2011 IRRATIONAL ( Kyllachy / Belladera) wins the John Smith`s Extra Smooth Maiden Auction Stakes at Hamilton.. Trained by Brian Smart who bought her privately after she did`t meet her reserve at Tattersalls October book 2 .Irrational made a winning debut, recovering from an awkward start and running on well to head Half A Billion ( 1/4 fav) close home. Irrational is a half sister to four-time Listed-placed Sgiaff (Spinning World) and Listed Marygate Stakes-third Little Scotland (Acclamation). Out of the juvenile winner Belladera (Alzao), who is a half-sister to the Listed Woodcote Stakes winner Silca Blanka (Law Society), the Gr.2 Premio Ellington-third Redipuglia (Commanche Run) and the dual Listed-placed Zlata Husa (Try My Best). Belladera has a lovely filly foal by Acclamation at foot. July 9th 2011 Dream Ahead wins the G1 July Cup at Newmarket. Crimbourne Stud has for sale at the Arqana yearling sales in Deauville on 23rd August Lot No 167 ( click on lot no for full pedigree ) a lovely colt by Refuse to Bend who’s dam Star Studded ( Cadeaux Genereux ) is a full sister to Land of Dreams the dam of Dream Ahead. His full sister is the multiple listed placed Say No Now and his 2yr old brother Zumbi (Dubawi) who is in training with Sir Micheal Stoute and said to be well though of by the staff in the yard and should make his debut shortly and can start repaying the 140,000 payed for him as a foal. Crimbourne Stud will also be sending to Deauville to be consigned by Harras de Fresnay- Le- Buffard managed by Tim Richardson. Lot No 15 ( click on lot no for full pedigree ) selling 22nd August. He is a half brother to G1 placed Oh Goodness Me and Multiple winner and Group placed Eradicate. July 9th 2011
ESKULINA above ( Montjue/ Jessica`s Dream) Wins the BMW Autohas Timmermans at Dusseldorf in Germany. This mare is the third winner for her dam Jessica`s Dream .Trained by Miltcho Mintchev, Eskulina was making a belated debut at the age of 5 over 1700 meters but she ran out an easy winner under Alexander Pietsch and can hopefully go on to better things. July 8th 2011 RED SEVENTY ( Sakhee / Dimakya ) Wins the Bourne Capital Novice Stakes (Class 4) at Ascot. A novice event that has gone to smart types in recent seasons, namely Where Or When, Norse Dancer, Il Warrad and The Cheka, albeit the race was staged over 7f in those years. It was run at this unusual distance ( 6f 110yds) last term, though, and went to subsequent 2,000 Guineas-fourth Slim Shadey.RED SEVENTY, who was sent off at 14-1 when denying a much shorter-priced stable companion on his debut at Salisbury (6f, soft), did well to follow up as he had to wait for a clear run and the useful Sixx, another Hannon inmate, had been allowed a relatively soft time on the lead. Red Seventy`s pedigree suggests he should continue to progress with time and distance and he´s not to be underestimated. June 22nd 2011 RED SEVENTY ( Sakhee / Dimakya ) Wins the Begbies Traynor Group Maiden (Class 5) at Sailsbury.A fair maiden and something of a Richard Hannon benefit with his three runners finishing 1-2-4, though not in the order most would have anticipated. June 03rd 2011 Kyllachy Storm ( Kyllachy / Social Storm ) Wins the Bath Ales Summer`s Hare Handicap (Class 4) at Bath . A competitive sprint in which the pace was strong from the outset as Noodles Blue Boy pressed Novabridge on the front end. May 30th 2011 Broken Peace this morning gave birth to a lovely bay colt by New Approach.Broken Peace has a 2yr old filly by Singspiel ( Sold to Shadwell Stud for 90,000 at Tattersalls October yearling sales ) and a yearling filly by Bahamian Bounty She is the last mare to foal this year.(Pictured bellow)
May 17th 2011 Rocker ( Rock of Gibraltar/ Jessica`s Dream) Wins the Summer Music Night Here 21st JuneHandicap (Class 5) at Brighton His first win since May last year .Winning here off a mark of 70, 4lb less than last years win at Lingfield . Things didn’t look very promising for a long way for Rocker who traded at 16-1 in-running, but he finished fast out wide in reapplied blinkers under a great ride for trainer Gary Moore`s son Ryan to cash in for those who had supported him today .He does not have a great strike-rate in the last two years but is a generally reliable sprinter who has a record of 3222125621 at Brighton. .Rocker will now having won 8 races for Sir Eric Parker try and pass the winning most horse owned ( Twice Group 1 winner Indian Lodge’s record of 8 wins) and win his 9th race at Lingfield on Saturday or at Brighton at the end of the month. May 16th 2011 Kyllachy Storm ( Kyllachy / Social Storm ) Wins the M.J.Church Handicap (Class 5) at Bath . The winner of the race off 9lb higher in 2009, wasn´t discredited from almost a stone out of the handicap at Brighton a week earlier, and he won this with a bit in hand, going on over 1f out and drawing away. He should remain well weighted on old form, but isn´t the most straightforward, and everything fell right for him here. May 07th 2011 ERADICATE (Montjue / Coyote) wins the Totescoop6 Swinton Handicap Hurdle at Haydock. Often a highly competitive handicap hurdle, and this year´s edition appeared no different, on paper anyway, as last season´s winner ERADICATE became the first horse to score back-to-back victories in the race, doing it in some style.Although 9lb higher than when beating Overturn a year ago, he had the assistance of the very capable Jeremiah McGrath, whose 7lb claim was a big plus, and having made rapid headway to take it up two out, he fairly scampered clear. He ran well without winning in some good handicap hurdles last season, although not well enough to suggest a performance such as this was in the offing. Very much a summer horse, it´ll be interesting to see whether he´s tried on the Flat again this year. Apr 23th 2011 Bint Zamayem gave birth to her last foal in the early hours of the morning. She gave birth to a lovely filly by Excellent Art. Bint Zamayem is to be retired this year at the age of 19 after producing 11 winners so far.She has a 2yr old in training with Paul Deegan in Ireland a yearling by Kyllachy and now this filly. Apr 22nd 2011 Jessicas Dream this evening gave birth to a lovely big filly by Galileo she is a full sister to Moons of Jupiter who is in training with A P O`Brien in Ireland having been sold for 350,000 at the Deauville August yearling sale . Apr 19th 2011 HUFF AND PUFF (Azamour / Coyote) wins the R&R Ices Handicap ( class 4) at Bath. Huff and Puff made a successful start to his 4-y-o career and landed some hefty bets in the process. He looked a very useful prospect when winning his AW maiden when returning last year and wasn`t disgraced on his handicap debut in a decent affair next time. However, he wasn´t seen thereafter and had been gelded during his time off the track. The money poured in for him, though, and he won with some authority despite the muddling pace. There should be plenty more to come from this imposing son of Azamour, especially back over further, and he`s no doubt one to follow. Pictured bellow is his half brother by SEE THE STARS born 14th April 2011
Apr 14th 2011 COYOTE this morning gave birth to a lovely colt by SEE THE STARS . He is chestnut just like Urban Sea the mother of See The Stars. The new born is a half brother to Oh Goodness Me who is a G3 winner and placed in the Irish 1,000 Guineas G1 and Eradicate who was G3 placed and a multiple winner. Coyote has a yearling colt for sale by DALAKHANI and is to visit Galileo shortly.. Apr 06th 2011 GREENFLASH ( Green Desert / Empress Anna) Wins the LINGFIELD.CO.UK Maiden (Class 5) at Lingfield. She made a pleasing debut at Kempton over 1m, and looked like having an obvious chance. Quickly into the lead, her rider dictated the fractions and she got away from her rivals at the right time. She won easing up at the line and is sure to win more races. Her dam Empress Anna gave birth to a filly by Duke of Marmalade earlier in the day. Apr 04th 2011 DZANG HE (Shirocco / Belladera) wins the Maiden Stakes at Florence in Italy.Winning over 1m1f , This was his first win as a 3yr old . Sold as a foal by Crimbourne his mother Belladera has a filly foal by Acclamation and is to be covered by Bahamian Bounty.
Mar 25th 2011
CURTAINS ( Dubawi / Voile ) (above)Wins the LINGFIELD PARK RACING CLUB H`CAP (Class 4) at Lingfield .This was her 4th win and her first on the all-weather .Thanks to Billy Red they went a really good gallop here, and the race was set up nicely for the gambled-on CURTAINS, who`d been available at prices as big as 16-1 in the morning. Having won fresh before, her absence since November wasn´t a concern, and she took up a nice position chasing the strong pace. Swinging wide into the straight, she kept on well for pressure to hold off the runner-up, who’d been ridden patiently. Fifth in the Albany Stakes at two and fourth in a Listed contest last year, connections plan to give her another try at gaining some black type in the Abernant Stakes, providing the ground is on the fast side Mar 05th 2011 RATHLIN (Kayf Tara / Princess Timon) wins the Great Oak Maiden Hurdle at Gowran Park. He was bred and raised at Crimbourne Stud for Mrs Carrie Zetter-Wells who sold him at Doncaster sales as a 2yr old.Unconvincing at Clonmel last time, Rathlin looked much more like a racehorse this time and won with a nice bit in hand. Taking it up just beyond halfway, he made the rest of the running from there. All Davy Russell had to do was just shake him up after the second last and he soon had the favourite in trouble, from that point the race was over..He now heads to Cheltenham for the opening race of the 2011 festival on the 15th March Mar 2nd 2011 GO EAST , this morning gave birth to a lovely big filly by HIGH CHAPARRAL .This filly was her second. Last year she gave birth to a lovely chestnut filly by Teofilio.Go East is the winner of 4 races at 3yr inc. a Listed race. Feb 17th 2011
TAGANSKY,above ( Barathea / Tenable ) wins the Ringside Suite Median Auction Maiden Stakes (Class 6) at Wolverhampton. He was trained by Simon Dow and ridden by Neill Callan .This was Tenables second winner this year after Tagansky`s brother Armour won in Hong Kong last month. Tenable has a 2yr old in training with Richard Hannon by Rail Link a yearling filly by Sakhee and is in foal to Azamour. SINBAD THE SAILOR,( Cape Cross / Sinead ) wins the Onibury Maiden Hurdle (Class 4) at Ludlow. He is a fair stayer on the Flat, and regularly visored on the level. Third at Plumpton on his hurdles debut in October, he appreciated the longer trip and saw it out well after moving to the front turning in .His owner Sir Alex Ferguson (above) Jan 23rd 2011 SOVERIGN FALCON (L315) previously named ARMOUR (Azamour / Tenable ) wins the Baker H`cap at ShaTin racecourse in Hong Kong. This was only his second start in Hong Kong since leaving M Grassick Ireland, where he won his maiden on his second start at Wolverhampton. He won by a very easy 21/2 Lenghts over 1200 meters on grass.
2010 Sept 28th 2010
CURTAINS ( Dubawi / Voile ) (above)Wins the RENDEZVOUS CASINO AT BRIGHTON MARINA H`CAP (Class 4) at Brighton .This was her 3rd course win and her first in handicap company .Racing off a mark of 80 on only her second run back from an injury recieved at Epsom on oaks day she won easily and should follow up again. Sept 12th 2010
Little Scotland (Acclamation / Belladera) wins the Crabbies "Spiffing" Alcoholic Ginger Beer Maiden Stakes at Newcastle. She won her first handicap of a mark of 80 very easily by six lengths and will turn out again next weekend before the handicaper puts her up for this very impressive win on soft ground . She was highly tried at two for Tim Easterby, contesting pattern company on each of her five starts after her debut,.This was her second win this year for Richard Fahy.
Sept 7th 2010 BLITZED (Fantastic Light / Broken Peace) wins the Tulyar Median Auction Maiden at Lingfield at 11/8 fav. Trained by G L Moore and ridden by George Baker (one of 3 winners he rode on the day at Lingfield). His half sister by SINGSPIEL sells at Tattersalls Book 2 sales Lot 861 ( click on Lot No for full pedigree). She is a filly not to be missed. May 22nd 2010
Little Scotland (Acclamation / Belladera) wins the Crabbies "Spiffing" Alcoholic Ginger Beer Maiden Stakes at Chester. She was made to work harder than expected to break her maiden tag. She was highly tried at two for Time Easterby, contesting pattern company on each of her five starts after her debut, and this looked a good opportunity for a confidence boost on her debut for her new yard. Maybe this track wasnt ideal for her but she stayed on strongly to mow down the leader close home, and a more galloping track should suit her in future. May 8th 2010
ERADICATE (above) (Montjue / Coyote) wins the Totesport.com Swinton Handicap Hurdle at Haydock . He proved too good for Scottish Champion Hurdle winner Overturn, quickening past the Donald McCain-trained favourite within a matter of strides after the pair jumped the last in the first major prize of the jumps season.Claiming jockey David Bass, who once played drums in a punk band, hailed the 16-1 victory as the biggest of his new career. It was the 7lb claimer's first ride on the Nicky Henderson-trained Eradicate and the promising young jockey successfully turned a 16½-length deficit at Ayr into a two and three-quarter length victory. His dam Coyote has a colt foal by Dalakhani and is covered by Sea The Stars. MIA`S BOY (Pivotal / Bint Zamayem) 2nd in the TOTESCOOP6 SPRING TROPHY STAKES (Listed Race) at Haydock .Mia´s Boy, narrowly denied in the Doncaster Mile latest, is always a threat in this type of race and he was well supported at the head of the market, finding himself last and having to be niggled. He eventually got going, coming with a strong run inside the last, but was just given too much to do.. Apr 21th 2010 HUFF AND PUFF (Azamour / Coyote) wins the digibet Median Auction Maiden Stakes at Kempton . He set the standard on his 50-1 fifth of 18 in a 7f Newmarket maiden on his sole run as a juvenile. Being a half brother to smart 1m2f-1m4f Flat winner/useful 2m hurdle winner Eradicate and the very tallented G3 winner and classic placed Oh Goodness Me who was also a winner and placed in 2 Listed placed at 2yrs old. He is bred to appreciate the step up in trip on his comeback and justified strong support with a tenacious win over a potentially decent type. He still has a bit to learn but has a likeable racingstyle and could prove to be progressive over middle-distances. His half sister by Authorised was sold last Dec as a foal for £170,000. His Dam Coyote has a colt foal by Dalakhani and will this week visit SEE THE STARS Apr 20th 2010
CURTAINS ( Dubawi / Voile ) (above)Wins the RADIOREVERB MAIDEN STAKES(Class 5) at Brighton. Trained in Epsom by Simon Dow and ridden by Seb Sanders .She looked to have been found a golden opportunity to get off the mark on her return from a winter break, but had to work a lot harder than her prohibitive odds suggested she would.( 1/5 Fav). She was winning her maiden for the second time at brighton , having been disqualified from her maiden win here last June. She will now head to Epsom for a Listed race. April 14th 2010 Kyllachy Storm ( Kyllachy / Social Storm ) Wins the Kempton.co.uk Handicap (Class 6) at Kempton. Trained by R Hodges and ridden by George Baker.Sprint races on this track are often won from the front, and well drawn he made every yard .He ran as though his seasonal return was needed 13 days previously and the switch to front-running tactics with that run under his belt did the trick. He was also able to race from a 7lb lower mark as he had yet to shine on the allweather, although he hasnt had many chances on an artificial surface. April 05th 2010 OSCAR PAPA (Presenting / Oso Special) wins the Bet totepool On 0800 221 221 Intermediate Open National Hunt Flat Race at Plumpton. He was bred and raised at Crimbourne Stud for his owner Mrs Carrie Zetter-Wells. The well-backed OSCAR PAPA had shown ability on his debut at Folkestone and the well-bred individual was never far away and ran out a ready winner. He has the size and scope to do well over hurdles and this won´t be the last we hear of him.
March 19th 2010
PIGEON ISLAND ( Daylami / Morina) wins the Johnny Henderson Grand Annual Chase Challenge Cup (Handicap) Grade 3 at the Cheltenham Festival. Ridden by Paddy Brennan ( pictured above returning after his victory on the pigeon left , on the right earlier winning the Gold Cup on Imperiel Call from a very game Denman) . The ground was changed to Soft before this race.A typically competitive handicap chase and wide open according to the market, but a race that has a good record for those at or near the head of the market over the years. Four favourites have been successful since 1998 and in that period and only twice has the winner gone off at longer than 8/1.This is a race that has been dominated by those at the bottom of the handicap in the past ten runnings, however, with only the 2007 winner Andreas successful off a mark higher than 134 since1999, and no horse has carried more than 10st 11lb to victory in that time. That sequence continued with a last gasp success for PIGEON ISLAND on a red-letter day for his trainer and jockey. Held up in the rear, he gradually crept into contention and, after jumping the last in fourth, ran on best of all to hit the front in the last 100yds.Rated in the 140s over hurdles, he was racing off 130 here but had failed to win in seven previous starts over fences and had fallen twice at this track. However, on a day in which connections were inspired, the magic clearly rubbed off and this tough sort proved strongest up the hill. Mar 13th 2010 MIA`S BOY (Pivotal / Bint Zamayem) 2nd in the Twilliamhill.com Lady Wulfruna Stakes (Listed Race) at Wolverhampton. returning from more than four months off, he ran a fine Lincoln trial, splitting a couple of race-fit rivals who were fresh from Dubai. It will be a big ask to defy a mark of 106 at Doncaster but he was a close second in a big-field handicap off just a 2lb lower rating when last seen in 2009 and wont be top weight if Expresso Star lines up (which is said to be the plan). He was trimmed by most firms, but 16-1 is still available. Feb 24th 2010
SINBAD THE SAILOR,( Cape Cross / Sinead ) wins the Bet Multiples - Betdaq Handicap (Class 4) at Lingfield. He was always towards the fore, led early before letting American Spin take over, and found enough when the pair were tackled inside the last by Rose Row to win a shade cosily. Two from two for his current stable, connections are waiting to send him over hurdles in the new season, when decent ground will suit, so these successes on the Flat are a nice bonus. His owner Sir Alex Ferguson (above) must have told his whole team that he was expecting a winner as he was very well backed into 7/4 fav. Feb 10th 2010 BENARTIC wins the Onibury Maiden Hurdle at Ludlow . He make a few mistakes early on but turned into the straight travelling very well and won with a bit in hand . Hopefully he can now give his owners a day out at Cheltenham in March where he is entered in the 2m5f Nov on the Wednesday of the Festival. Feb 07th 2010 ERADICATE (Montjue / Coyote) wins the John Smith's Scottish County Handicap Hurdle at Musselburgh. A good quality handicap won by an unexposed sort in ERADICATE. Debuting in a handicap and running for the first time since having a wind operation over the summer, he was keen enough through the early stages, but showed his speed to assert on the flat between the third-last, the bypassed second-last and final flight. He needs decent ground to be seen at his best and a sharp track like this also helps him get home, so Aintree looks likely to suit him better than Cheltenham, although the County Hurdle is apparently the aim
BAHIA BREEZE below with her Nayef colt foal born this morning .The first of 17 mares to foal this year at Crimbourne.
Feb 04th 2010 SINBAD THE SAILOR,( Cape Cross / Sinead ) wins the Enjoy Lucky 7 Group Offer Handicap (Class 6) at Wolverhampton ridden by Matthew Davis and backed from 20/1 to 11/1.He didn´t seem to get 1m6f when twice tried by previous connections last season, stayed this longer trip extremely well on his first run for George Baker. Although bought to go hurdling ( For his new owner Sir Alex Ferguson ), it seems that the winner will keep to Flat staying handicaps. These aren´t the hardest races to win with a horse who is at the right end of the handicap and there should be at least one more before the handicapper steps in. He won off an 11lb higher mark as a three-year-old. Jan 24th 2010 Jan 20th 2010 FAST GO (Royal Applause / Jessicas Dream) wins the Mount Gough Handicap at Happy Valley in Hong Kong. This was his first win since being sold at the Breeze up sales in Hong Kong in 2007.Purchased from Crimbourne Stud by Larry Stratton on behalf of the Hong Kong Jockey Club at Tattersalls October Part One Yearling sales.Jessicas Dream`s 2008 colt by Galileo was sold last year to Coolmore Stud for €350,000 at Deauville August sale and her 2009 colt by Teofilio was sold at Tattersalls Dec foal sales to Mr Timmy Hide for £140,000.Jessica`s Dream is in foal to Teofilio again carrying a colt and will revisit Galileo this spring. Jan 13th 2010 BENARTIC wins the Freezy Money At victorchandler.com Maiden Open National Hunt Flat Race (Div II) at Southwell. He had been absent since a couple of fair efforts at Fontwell last spring. He was made to work hard for success but may have won with a little bit to spare. He is owned jointly by Sir Eric and Mary-Ann Parker and hopefully he can go on and win his maiden hurdle before a day out at Cheltenham in March. Jan 06th 2010 BERNINI (Kyllachy / Broken Peace) wins the Yiu Wa Handicap at Happy Valley in Hong Kong. This was his first win since being sold at the Breeze up sales in Hong Kong for £200,000 in 2007.Purchased from Crimbourne Stud by Larry Stratton on behalf of the Hong Kong Jockey Club at Tattersalls October Part One Yearling sales.Broken peace has a Yearling filly by Singspiel for sale this year. Broken Peace is in foal to Bahamian Bounty and visiting Shirocco after foaling. 2009 24 Winners in GB & IRE & USA . 3 Stakes winners . 5 Stakes placed .1Classic Placed Dec 29th 2009
FEN GAMES (Montjue / Hatton Gardens) above wins the Paddy Fizpatrick Memorial Hurdle at Leopardstown trained by Edward O`Grady and ridden by Andrew McNamara. A third win over hurdles for FEN GAME who came from well off the pace, making good headway from two out and running on well for pressure on the run in having been fourth approaching the final hurdle. Quite well treated by the race conditions, the winner will be going chasing next season but trainer Edward O´Grady intends finding a few more opportunities for him over hurdles.
